REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FIXED ROUTE OPERATIONS WESTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY Western Illinois University is seeking proposals from qualified companies or agencies for the operation of the University's Go West Transit System and for the Macomb Community Unit School District #185 student transportation service. A Request for Proposal (RFP) document describing the project, procurement information, updates and award information, is published by the University on The Illinois Procurement Bulletin / Public Institutions of Higher Education (Bulletin) (http://www.procure.stateuniv.state.il.us). Official solicitation documents are found or referenced on this website under R061637. Procurement information may not be available in any other form or location. Vendor is responsible for monitoring the Bulletin. The University will not be held responsible if Vendor fails to receive the optional email notices. Proposal Advertisement will be posted for ten business days. ICJIA REQUESTS PUBLIC INPUT FOR PROMOTING SUCCESSFUL AND EFFECTIVE JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAMMING The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA), state administering agency for the federal Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program (JAG), is seeking public input on its federal fiscal year 2015 JAG application. The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program allows state and local governments to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime and to improve the criminal justice system. JAG funds have supported government programs that enabled the enforcement of Illinois drug laws, worked to decrease the likelihood of violent crime, and improved the criminal justice system and its outcomes. JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT PURPOSE AREAS AND PRIORITIES JAG funds can be used for state and local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for criminal justice in any of the following purpose areas: Law enforcement programs. Prosecution and court programs. Prevention and education programs. Corrections and community corrections programs. Drug treatment programs. Planning, evaluation, and technology improvement programs. Crime victim and witness programs (other than compensation). In its application for these funds, ICJIA will submit a program narrative, which outlines the priorities and subsidiary priorities developed through planning sessions in July and August of 2013 as a multi-year strategic plan for the administration of the Justice Assistance Grant. The plan produced the following priorities: Prevention and Intervention Recidivism Reduction Law Enforcement Courts, Prosecution, Defense and Community Corrections State Corrections Justice Information Sharing Justice Research and Evaluation For each of the priorities subsidiary priorities were also developed and incorporated into the plan.
