VILLAGE OF EDINBURG, ILLINOIS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING A PUBLIC HEARING will be held by the Village President and Village Board of Trustees at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018, in the Village Hall at 2015 West Washington Street, Edinburg, Illinois regarding a proposed ordinance amending Subparagraph 3 of Paragraph B of Section 9-3-4, Paragraph D of Section 10-2-2, Paragraph A of Section 10-2-3, Section 10-2-5, and Paragraph A of Section 10-5-2, of Title 10 (Zoning Code) of the Edinburg Village Code to only permit doublewide mobile homes or doublewide manufactured homes or newly constructed modular homes (of at least 800 square feet of living space) that are purchased new for at least $50,000.00 from the manufacturer or dealer in the business of selling such homes to be located or occupied in R-1 or R-2 Zoning Districts; or to only permit mobile homes or immobilized mobile homes that are purchased new for at least $50,000.00 from the manufacturer or dealer in the business of selling such homes to be located or occupied in a mobile home park licensed by the Village; and requiring the purchase price of any such home to be evidenced by a written paid receipt and a bona fide bill of sale or purchase contract each bearing the notarized authorized signature of such manufacturer or dealer of such home; and requiring the removal of such homes and assessing fines for violations; and making other amendments to Title 10 (Zoning Code) of the Edinburg Village Code; and to consider the vote of the Zoning Board of Appeals concerning such proposed ordinance. This Public Hearing is being held and this Public Notice is being published in accordance with Section 10-2-4 of the Edinburg Village Code and 65 ILCS 5/11-31-14. Anyone interested person may appear and may be heard at said Public Hearing. In accordance with 65 ILCS 5/11-31-14, any owners of 20% of the frontage proposed to be altered, or any owners of 20% of the frontage immediately adjoining or across any alley therefrom, or any owners of 20% of the frontage directly opposite the frontage proposed to be altered may file with the Village Clerk a signed and acknowledged written protest against said proposed amendments. In such cases, a copy of the written protest shall be served by the protester or protesters on the Village Clerk and a copy on the Village Attorney, by certified mail at the address of the Village Clerk (205 West Washington Street, Edinburg, Illinois 62531) and of the Village Attorney (210 S. Washington St., Taylorville, IL 62568). At said Public Hearing oral protests can be heard and reviewed, and written protests having been received as aforesaid will be read and reviewed. The proposed Ordinance is o file at the Village Clerk's office at the Village Hall at 205 West Washington Street, Edinburg, Illinois during the Village's normal business hours by any and all interested persons. Anyone interested may examine and/or obtain copies of such proposed ordinance prior to or during such Public Hearing by contacting the Village Treasurer either at (217) 623-5542 during normal office business hours or at said Public Hearing.
