Prairieland Chautauqua Aug. 30 through Sept. 2 in Jacksonville
TAYLORVILLE — Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation will hold “Summer Wine Down”, a fundraising event, on Sat., August 24 in the TMH Auditorium. The Springfield based “Frank Trompeter Quintet” (pictured) will be providing live jazz during the evening, and treats and wine will be provided by Muldaner’s Restaurant and Kriegers Restaurant. JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — From Friday, August 30, through Monday, September 2, the big tent will rise again in Jacksonville’s Community Park for the 15th Prairieland Chautauqua.

Under the theme “E pluribus unum,” this year’s four-day show will focus on the numerous contributions Americans from all walks of life have made to the one American culture. Dr. Wolf Fuhrig will again direct the event as he did for the previous fourteen Prairieland Chautauquas.

Each year, over 2,000 spectators have enjoyed, free of charge, the Chautauqua’s historical education, entertainment, and fellowship under and around the big tent.

The 15th Prairieland Chautauqua schedule of events is:
