Fall festival features saw milling, music and tractor parade
CARLINVILLE — The Macoupin County Historical Society’s Fall Festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 21, and Sunday, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MCHS Museum, located at 920 Breckenridge St., Carlinville. Parking and entrance into the event are both free.
Approximately 150 vendors will be selling their wares, and this year’s event will host booths with items for sale including woodcrafts, wind chimes, purses, jewelry and other handmade goods.
Booth space is still available, and vendors are welcome to register the day of the festival. Vendors interested can call Kay Vance at 217-627-2851 for more information.
The festival will be a buzz with several demonstrations including blacksmithing, wheat threshing, rug weaving and saw milling. Live music will be played both afternoons of the event. Other entertainment includes a tractor parade of many of the old tractors, which will be held each afternoon.
