2013 Kincaid Labor Day Picnic
The Kincaid Labor Day Picnic kicks off Thurs., Aug. 29th and concludes Mon., Sept. 2nd. Thursday events: 5 p.m. - Park kitchen opens; 6:30 p.m. - Post 905 Pageants (Little Miss, Little Mister, Junior Miss, Teen Miss & Miss Post 905); 8:30 p.m. - Raffle for $500 cash drawn; 9 p.m. - Park kitchen closes.
 
Pana Tri-County Fair
The 65th annual Pana Tri-County Fair will be held Wednesday, August 28th through Monday, September 2rd. Thurs., Aug. 29th events include: Entries accepted in Ag Building: 8 – 11 a.m.; Judging in Ag Building: 1 p.m.; Carnival (unlimited rides $16): 6 – 10 p.m.; ISPA/IHFSPA Tractor Pulls: 7 p.m.

15th Annual Prairieland Chautauqua
From Friday, Aug. 30, to Monday, Sept. 2, the 15th annual Prairieland Chautauqua of Jacksonville offers afternoon and evening performances under the big tent in Community Park on Morton Ave. Under the theme “E pluribus unam,” the Morgan County Historical Society arranged for eight portrayals of famous Americans, eight performances of American music and a catered supper to its audience of over 2,000 persons. AUGUST 31
Bethel Baptist Labor Day Fundraising Dinner
On Sat., August 31st, Bethel Baptist Church will be serving a chicken dinner from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Edinburg Community Building to raise funds for their mission activities. Dinner includes half of a grilled chicken, baked beans, garden salad, roll, drink and dessert. For information call 825-6065.
