Overeaters Anonymous
Overeaters Anonymous meets every Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Taylorville. For more information call Linda at 237-5294 or 827-6591.

I-Worship Center’s Men’s Weekly Group Meeting

AmVets Post #29
AmVets Post #29 will meet Monday, October 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the American Legion building, Taylorville.

Buckeye HCEA
There will be a meeting of the Buckeye HCEA Monday, Oct. 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the home of Marcella Large. The lesson “Wrap It Up-Tortillas Many Uses” will be given by Marcella. Roll call will be “Your Favorite Use of Tortillas”.

Card Play Group
Every Monday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. the Taylorville Senior Center holds its regular "Card Play Group" for Bridge and Pinochle or bring your own card/game group. The public is welcome.

Beginning Bridge classes
The Taylorville Senior Center offers free beginning bridge classes every Monday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Personal instruction and tips to become proficient bridge players. Call 824-4263 to RSVP; class size is limited.

Weight Watchers
A Weight Watchers meeting at the Way of Life Church will be held each Monday at 6:00 p.m. Weigh-in will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Tae Kwon Do Classes
The Taylorville Park District offers Tae Kwon Do class on Monday and Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Manners Park dining hall. The class is for children through adults. There is a monthly fee and a yearly registration fee. Mr. Dave Woods is the chief instructor and there are also ten black belt instructors to help with the class. For more information call Dave Woods at 820-1458.

October 22
Quarter Auction for CMN at Calvary Baptist
A Quarter Auction for Children's Miracle Network will be held Tuesday, October 22nd in the comman area of Calvary Baptist Church, 930 Haner Ave., Taylorville. All proceeds from the Auction will be donated to CMN. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the Auction will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited and encouraged to participate!

Weight Watchers
There will be a Weight Watchers meeting at the Way of Life Church each Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. Weigh-in will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Pinochle Game
Pinochle games are played every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at the South Fork Senior Center. Everyone is welcome to join the game.

TOPS
TOPS Weight Loss Group meets each Tuesday evening in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 303 E. Market. Weigh-in is from 4:30-5:00 p.m. Meeting is from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Come share recipes, information and fun! Please call 824-2951 for more information.

Al-Anon
A weekly Al-Anon meeting will be held every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium C Conference Room at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. For more information call 565-9535.

Friendly Neighbors Garden Club
There will be a regular monthly meeting of Friendly Neighbors Garden Club on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Anna Spurrier. The topic is “The First Harbingers of Spring” and the arrangement is “Fall Flowers in an Unusual Container”. For more information, contact Marilyn Barrett at 824-5973.

Christian County TRIAD
Christian County TRIAD meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at the Taylorville City Hall in the lower level conference room.

Compassionate Friends of Christian County
The Compassionate Friends of Christian County will the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Pana Junior High School in room 19. Compassionate Friends is an organization that helps families deal with the loss of a child of any age. It is for parents, grandparents and adult siblings (16 and older). Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery will be held at iWorship Center-Taylorville, 1338 N. Lawrence St., on Fridays at 6:30 p.m. Celebrate Recovery is a faith-based program for individuals who are struggling with addictions. For questions call Alanna Gray at 720-6188.

October 26
"Meet the Machines" event
Taylorville Main Street will host “Meet the Machines,” a free event for children on Oct. 26, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., on the Square in conjunction with the last Farmers Market of the season. Farm equipment, tow trucks, school busses, fire trucks, and police cars will be some of the machinery for children to explore. Also on Oct. 26, Morehouse Produce, a regular local vendor at Farmers Market will be giving a small pumpkin to the first 100 kids. Live music will be sponsored by Jeff Peabody of Country Companies. Olivio’s Food Wagon will be serving food and people can also bring a picnic blanket and have lunch on the courthouse lawn.

November 3
St. Maurice Baked Turkey Dinner
St. Maurice Catholic Church in Morrisonville will hold its annual Baked Turkey Dinner Sunday, Nov. 3rd in the Knights of Columbus Hall. Serving will be from 3-6 p.m. and the public is invited. The menu will include baked turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cole slaw, cranberry salad, cake, homemade ice cream, coffee, tea and water. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children. Carryouts will be available for 50 cents extra.
