Assassination of JFK lecture Nov. 20th
Presented by Dr. Jack Gordon; event is free

SPRINGFIELD–Lincoln Land Community College invites the public to “The Assassination of President Kennedy” lecture Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. The free event is being held in the Trutter Center at the LLCC-Springfield campus, 5250 Shepherd Road.

Dr. Jack Gordon, Kennedy assassination speaker and consultant, will cover many aspects and unknown issues of the President John F. Kennedy assassination, including what is known now about the JFK assassination that was not known or acknowledged during prior investigations, why President Kennedy was murdered, why the medical evidence is the key to understanding whether there was a conspiracy, how the investigation into President Kennedy’s murder could be re-opened, why the media coverage of the JFK assassination is so biased and whether Robert Kennedy was truly on the trail of his brother’s murderers.

Dr. Gordon was in eighth grade when President Kennedy was assassinated. Before he graduated from high school, there were two more tragic assassinations—Martin Luther King Jr. and Senator Robert F. Kennedy. As a graduate student at Indiana University, Dr. Gordon began studying American political assassinations in detail. After researching the available information and making numerous trips to Dallas, Washington, Los Angeles and other locations to interview witnesses, researchers, and members of Congress between 1975 and 1979, he created an outline for a class on the History of American Political Assassinations, which he taught at two different colleges from 1979 to 1983. Dr. Gordon has lectured on the two Kennedy assassinations for more than 35 years.a

He has also consulted with NBC, ABC, BBC and PBS on programs that included a mini-series, a purported scientific analysis of the JFK assassination, and a proposed prime-time network news special providing new information on the RFK assassination.

The lecture is being sponsored by the LLCC Student Life Office. For more information, call 786.2241.
