MATTOON — Lake Land College Office of Community and Professional Programs is offering a course entitled “Acting Fundamentals.”
Instructor Earl Halbe will teach the skills needed to perform monologues and short scenes. Students will also attain self-awareness, confidence, and develop improvisational skills.
Halbe has a bachelor’s degree in applied theatre from Eastern Illinois University and over 30 years of performance experience in theater. He was an acting instructor for the Key West Symphony’s summer program, Sol Fest, for many years, and directed plays at the Key West High School.
The class will meet Wednesdays, Jan. 16 - March 6 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. on the Lake Land College campus in the Luther Student Center Theater. Students from ages 12 – 17 should register for section CE-ARTS199-28526 and students who are 18 and older should register for section CNC-026-28525.
