Ottawa Announces Date For Two Rivers Wine, Jazz & Lobster Fest

OTTAWA, Ill. — The Two Rivers Wine, Lobster & Jazz Festival in downtown Ottawa is set for June 7-9, 2013.

Fast becoming a popular tourist draw, Ottawa’s annual event, now in its 3rd year, combines all the best ingredients for visitors with an appetite for fun in a relaxed setting, with abundant river recreation, scenic vistas and unique stops.

A trifecta of great wine from Illinois vineyards, fresh lobster, and the best jazz artists in the Midwest draws thousands from across the region to the three-day festival.

Visitors to Ottawa, about 150 miles north of Taylorville, are encouraged to extend their stay and explore the historic Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor.

Whether a couples retreat or adventure-packed road trip with friends, options abound.

Visitors can zipline in Marseilles, take in a hike at nearby Starved Rock State Park, watch a vintage tractor caravan in Morris, or traverse a National Scenic Byway.

For updated information on Ottawa’s Two Rivers Wine, Jazz & Lobster Festival, go to www.2riverswinefest.com, or visit the updated Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau website at www.heritagecorridorcvb.com.
