PANA — Where is Benedict Arnold’s leg? That question will be answered Saturday, July 27th at the Historical Quilt Show to be held at the United in Faith Church, 609 S. Fairgrounds Road in Pana, Illinois. The show, featuring quilts made before 1950, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both entries and viewing are free.
Those wishing to display quilts should call Malinda at 217-565-1212 or Linda at 217-827-2953 for details before July 26th.
A display of over forty rose-themed quilt blocks will honor Pana, "The City of Roses". Most are appliqued; several are pieced.
An illustrated lecture "Quilts in History and Politics" will be presented at 11 a.m. Over forty-five blocks will be discussed. "Care and Display of Vintage Textiles" will be given at 2 p.m.
