TMH Auxiliary Holiday Extravaganza
Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will hold their annual Holiday Extravaganza on Friday, Nov. 15th, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 16th, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Shop various craft booths and independent consultants booths throughout the hospital’s 1st floor. There will be a bake sale, gift basket raffle, ‘book nook’ and much more available during this event.

Po.L.K. of A. Dance
Illinois Chapter Po.L.K. of A. Dance will hold their next dance Sunday, November 17th, from 2:00-5:30 p.m. at the Riverton K of C Hall, 335 South 4th Street in Riverton. The Larry Haller will perform and the cost is $10 for a nonmember and $9 for a member. For  more information please visit

CC Republican Women’s Club Wine Tasting Event
The Christian County Republican Women’s Club will host their 2nd Annual Wine Tasting Event on Tues., November 19 at 6:00 p.m. at One East Market in Taylorville. This event is open to the public and cost $25 per person. The first 75 attendees will receive a custom hand-painted glass.

Steve Gillette & Cindy Mangsen in concert
Prairie Grapevine Folklore Society presents an evening with Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen on Tuesday November 19th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Abraham Lincoln Unitarian Church, 745 Woodside Rd, Springfield. Steve is best known as a songwriter, with songs recorded by artists from lan & Sylvia to Garth Brooks, from Jiminy Cricket to John Denver. Cindy is a master interpreter of traditional ballads. She plays guitar, concertina and banjo and is renowned for her compelling voice. Steve and Cindy have been featured on NPR's All Things Considered and Mountain Stage. Cost of the concert is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $8 for members, $5 for students and $25 for a family.

“Branson on the Road” at Effingham Performance Center
Branson on the Road is bringing two performances to the Effingham Performance Center on Nov. 22nd, at 2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online at, by phone at 800-745-3000, at Ticketmaster outlets or at the Effingham Performance Center, 1325 Outer Belt West, Effingham, during box office hours, Mon. - Fri. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ticket prices range from $20-$35. Branson on the Road has over 20 years of experience of performing at top theatres in Branson on the famous 76 Country Music Boulevard delivering good music and clean fun for all ages, and is the original national touring show from the famous city. The show delivers the Branson traditions of roots music and family fun wherever they go!
