Roy Eugene Robinson, 35, of Springfield, died Monday, October 22, 2012 from complications of pneumonia.
He was born November 28, 1976 in Springfield, Illinois to Warren and Annabel (Limper) Robinson. Roy was of the Catholic faith. He graduated from St. Patrick’s Grade School and Sacred Heart Griffin High School. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, painting, art and was a handyman who loved working on his house and cars. He also enjoyed camping, canoeing and fishing. He worked as a technician for AT&T. He was a friend to all who knew him and had a kind and generous heart.
He is survived by his parents of Springfield; one daughter, Anna Robinson; four brothers and two sisters, Marty Robinson of Dawson, Christopher (Kristin) Robinson of Litchfield, Mark (Anna) Robinson of Alpine, AL, Curt (Laura) Robinson of Taylorville, Noel (Jeff) Clevenger of Chatham and Jamie Robinson of Springfield; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dogs, Sassy and Mocha.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Peter Harman officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
