Loraine Myerscough, 83, of Charleston, Illinois and formerly of Taylorville, Illinois, passed away while in the comforting presence of her family on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Loraine was born February 23, 1930 in Christian County, Illinois, a daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy (Malsbury) Fleigle. She married Merle Myerscough on September 23, 1948 in Taylorville and they have been blessed with sixty-four years of marriage and friendship.
In addition to her loving husband Merle, she is survived by five sons, Jerry and wife Carol, Dave and wife Althea, Kevin and wife Cindy, and Brian and wife Trina, all of Charleston, Illinois, and Mark and wife Denise of Bloomington, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Juanita Nation and husband Ken of Morrisonville, Illinois along with nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Fleigle and a daughter-in-law, Karen Myerscough.
The Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at the corner of Tenth & Jefferson Streets in Charleston with Father John Titus presiding. Interment followed at Mound Cemetery in Charleston.
