Jim Oakley, 49, of Pana, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in Nokomis Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
He was born December 9, 1963 in Decatur, IL. Jim lived in Pana his entire life. He was a truck driver, and a member of Pana Christian Church and Pana Masonic Lodge AF&AM #226.
Jim is survived by the mother who raised him, Rena’ Oakley, Pana, IL; daughter, Lisa Whitchurch, Pana, IL; brothers, Bob Brown, Afghanistan and Don Eggerman, Shelbyville, IL; sisters, Karen Bragg and husband Harry, Maroa, IL and Tammy Edwards, Herrick, IL; and several extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Ted C. Oakley on June 18, 2004 and brother, Farrell Oakley on August 13, 2010.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home in Pana. Masonic rites will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home followed by funeral services with Joe Mollet officiating. The family requests casual attire. Cremation rights will be accorded.
