Russell A. “Tony” Stockon, 69, of Palmer passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at his home.
He was born on May 23, 1947, at Taylorville, the son of Kenneth Russell and Flora Lea (Rash) Stockon. Tony married Cindy Yorty in October 1982, at Taylorville. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Darrell Stockon and a grandson, Adam.
Tony was employed in the field of concrete demolition with Bud’s Concrete Removal and was also self employed. He enjoyed woodworking, leatherworking, crafts and primitive camp-ins. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran.
Survivors include: his wife, Cindy Stockon of Palmer, Ill.; daughters Christina Taylor of Taylorville, Ill., and Desiree Stockon of Palmer, Ill.; sons David (Andrea) Stockon of Oregon, Brian Stockon of Palmer, Ill., Dustin (Amanda) Stockon and Nathan (Traci) Stockon, both of Taylorville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, Richard, Dalton, Cody and Anna Taylor, Zach, Lyris, Skyler, Ember, Kadyn and Aria Stockon; two great-grandchildren, Paisley Rush and Adrien Taylor; brother Ronald (Tammy) Stockon of Stonington, Ill.; sister Gwendolyn Fleigle of Taylorville, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Tony will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Bowman officiating. Interment will be in Anderson Cemetery, Palmer. Condolences to his family may be left at perfettifuneralhome.com.
