Russel "Rusty" T. Stibs, 59, of Buffalo, passed away at 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at his ex-wife's residence.
Rusty was born October 29, 1957 in Tomah, Wisc., the son of Addison Lee and Ginger Lou Dahlstrom Stibs. Rusty graduated from high school in Prentice, Wisc. in 1976. Rusty then proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for Alcatel Network Systems installing fiber optics and telephone lines. Rusty enjoyed collecting and restoring old cars especially Pontiacs. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, was the life of the party, and loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Alexandria (Brandon) Mills of Taylorville; three grandchildren, Ella, Madalyn, and one on the way; three siblings. Rocky (Polly) Stibs of Kennan, Wisc., Daniel Lee (Edilaine) Stibs of Crossville, Tenn., and Heidi (John) Wnuk of Bellevue, Neb.; mother of his child, Missy Ruff; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society prior to ceremonies.
The family will host a graveside ceremony on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Ill.
