Deborah (Maroon) Flack, age 60, of Taylorville, formerly of Hillsboro, Ill. passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, at 3:35 p.m. at her daughter’s residence. she was born on March 5, 1956 in Vandalia, Ill. to parents Robert Sox and Nellie Maxine (Bone) Maroon. Both preceded her in death. Deborah worked at several retail sales positions and lived in several places including: Greenville, Ill., California, Hillsboro, Ill. and Taylorville, Ill.
She is a 1974 graduate of Greenville High School in Greenville, Ill. She married David F. Flack in Greenville, Ill. in 1976, and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2007. Surviving are one son, David E. Flack of Hillsboro, Ill. and one daughter, Deanna (husband Matthew) Sleboda, of Taylorville, Ill., six grandchildren: Brendon Flack, Kylee Flack, Cadence Flack, Dallas Page, Kaden Sleboda and Aurora Sleboda; three sisters: Rae Ann Maroon Durbin, Greenville, IL; Melissa Williford, East Alton, IL and Connie Scoggins. One brother, Thomas Maroon predeceased her.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ill. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ill. with Rev. Ralph Ward of Hillsboro, officiating.
