James M. Woolard, 81, of Nokomis, Ill. passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 11:42 a.m. at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL.
He was born on May 24, 1936 in Hillsboro, the son of Malcom Sinclair and Ruby (Rhodes) Woolard.
James graduated high school and retired from the Hillsboro Glass Company.
He was a member the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis.
James married the former Florence Sue Robertson and they later divorced. He then married Mary Siebert on May 31, 1968 and she passed away November 4, 2007. He later married Mary Alice May on December 27, 2008 and she survives.
He is also survived by his children, Vicki (Stephen) Lecocq of Harvel, Ill., James E. (Denna) Woolard of Butler, Ill., Brenda S. (Dominic) Riggio of Caterville, Ill., Gene A. (Charlene) May of Pensacola, Fla., Randy (Kathy) Eller of Taylorville, Ill., Jeffery J. Woolard of Nokomis, Ill., Roger (Brenda) Eller of Thayer, Ill. and Donald K. Woolard of Nokomis, Ill.; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, second wife, Mary Siebert, one great-grandchild, brothers: William Arthur Woolard, Robert Donald Woolard, step-brother, James Govia; sisters: June Faggetti, Mary Ellen Jensen, Kathleen Sue Tuggle, Doris Woolard in infancy and step-sister, Sue Fox.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis, Ill. Pastor Bert Eickhoff will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery in Pana, Ill. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of the arrangements.
