Albert Spencer Hoffman, 76, of Ohlman, IL, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill.
He was born on April 26, 1941 in Greenwood Twp., Ill., a son of Charles William and Tennessee (Meacham) Hoffman.
Albert was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a millright for Caterpillar in Joliet, Ill. He was a former Lion’s Club Member.
He married the former Hannah Spicer on April 20, 1963 and she preceded him in death on June 23, 2013.
Albert is survived by his children: Cathy (Keith) Litz of Taylorville, Ill., Albert Hoffman, Jr. of Ohlman, and Brian (Kim) Hoffman of Decatur, Ill.; grandchildren: Joshua Scruggs, Amy Kronkow, and Julia Kronkow; siblings: Phillip (Sarah) Hoffman of Channahon, Violo Rollo of Nokomis, Marsha (Robert) Hudson of Nokomis, and Jeanannne (George) Sennezy of Galesburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother Ronald Hoffman.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis, Ill. Pastor Ryan Follis will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 until service time at the funeral home. Military Rites will be held at the Ohlman Cemetery in Ohlman, Ill.
