Taylorville Lady Tornadoes come up short against Shelbyville
SHELBYVILLE — The 2016 varsity volleyball season has started very similar to last year for the Taylorville Lady Tornadoes. Like in 2015, the Tornadoes defeated the MacArthur Generals in their opener and dropped a close match to the tough Shelbyville Rams squad in the second match.

ILLINOIS — Over seven decades later, the luster has not faded from the 1944 Taylorville High School boys basketball team that went undefeated on the way to a state title.  Several members of that squad went on to greater things in basketball.

TAYLORVILLE — Once a year, fans have the opportunity to flock to the races at the Christian County Fair in Taylorville, IL.  That time is almost here, as the Ag Fair begins on Tuesday night and the racecars roll into town on Wednesday, July 27.  It will be the third annual NAPA Triple Header presented by Larry's Service Center.  UMP Sportsman, Midwest Big Ten UMP Street Stocks, and UMP Hornets are on schedule to thrill fans, young and old.
