In both team’s first game, there was a combined 31 strikeouts.

Beecher City’s Rexroad struck out 17 Pana batters, but the Panthers came through when they needed to, scoring three runs in the top of the seventh.

 The Pana Panthers got their only run of the game in the first inning as they tried to keep up with Meridian.

But the Lady Hawks kept scoring and beat Pana 11-1.

A long week for the Pana girls soccer team ended with a celebration on Saturday.

The Lady Panthers beat Danville 4-3 in overtime to take home third place from the Decatur St. Teresa soccer tournament.

Pana runs into Pleasant Plains

The Pana Panthers got a tough draw in the first round of the state tournament on Saturday.

Pana’s eighth grade girls were on an incredible run this season, going undefeated in conference play and putting together a 19-2 record heading into the state tournament.

For the first time in three games, the Pana Panthers didn’t need penalty kicks to decide the outcome.

The Lady Panthers took care of Monticello in regulation on Thursday afternoon with two second half goals.

Playing their second game in as many days to start the season, the Pana Panthers needed penalty kicks again to decide the final result on Tuesday.

The eighth graders from Pana are headed to state.

The Panthers beat Carlinville in two sets on Monday night to improve to 19-2 on the season with a 25-16, 25-15 win.

Pana eighth graders win regional championship

The Pana eighth grade girls have only lost two volleyball games this season. 

They weren’t about to make it three on Thursday night.

The Panthers defeated the host school Hillsboro in two sets 25-18, 25-11 to win the regional championship and improve to 18-2 this season.
