The Pana Lady Panthers picked up their seventh straight shutout victory on their way to an 8-0 win over South Central Conference opponent Piasa on Thursday night.

The Gillespie Miners put up a ten run third inning on their way to a 14-1 win over Pana on Wednesday night.

Pana managed just one run in the fifth inning and picked up just four hits on the day, while committing three errors.

Pana got their first conference win of the year with a 8-3 victory over Vandalia on Friday night.

Adrianna Suter got the win, going all seven innings and giving up three runs on four hits with 13 strikeouts.

Weideman hat trick helps Pana

A tough schedule to start the season seems to be really paying off for the Pana girls soccer team. 

Pana beat Decatur LSA 6-0 on Tuesday night behind a hat trick from Kaylie Weideman and two goals from Myah Herbord, while Renee Waddington added one as well.

The Pana girls won their triangular track meet on Monday night with a score of 102, while Taylorville came in second with 50 points and SHG came in third with a score of 15.

Freshman Lily Anderson only gave up two hits and one run as she picked up Pana’s first win of the season.

Pana beat the Wildcats 11-1 on Monday night, handing Samantha Sabo the loss for Edinburg.
