Vandalia Vandals shoot lights out to cruise past Pana
VANDALIA — After one quarter of play, the Pana Panthers trailed the Vandalia Vandals by a score of 23-13 in Tuesday night’s matchup. Fifteen of those points for the Vandals came off of the long ball; that’s an incredible first-quarter stat, but it was only a preview of what was to be a remarkable shooting performance by Vandalia.

Higgins named head football coach at PHS
PANA — The Pana Panther varsity football team had a historic run in the 2015 season, and the 2016 team will look to make their mark on Pana football history under the direction of new head coach, Trevor Higgins.

Higgins, who is a physical education and health teach at Pana Junior High School, has been a coach on the Panthers’ football staff for the past eight seasons under former head coach, Al Stupek, who resigned in December following the Panthers most successful year in the program’s history.
