Pana baseball falls to Vandalia
The Pana Panthers would jump out to a 2-0 lead after the top of the first inning, but the Vandalia Vandals would get one run in the bottom of the second, nine runs in the bottom of the fourth, and three runs in the bottom of the fifth to walk off and defeat the Panthers 13-2 in five innings.

Errors prove costly in Pana's loss to Litchfield

PANA — “You give good hitting teams extra outs, and they take advantage of them.  We just can’t do that against a team like Litchfield,” Pana Baseball Coach Mike Malisia said Thursday after a 16-1 loss to the Purple Panthers. “I mean, they put up 18 runs the first time we played them because we had nine errors, that’s nine extra outs.”

The Pana baseball team traveled to Hillsboro on Tuesday night to face off against the Hillsboro Hilltoppers in a non-conference game. The Hilltoppers scored two runs in the first inning, three in the second, and another three in the fourth to top the Panthers 8-0.

The Shelbyville Invite was cancelled last week due to weather, but the ladies were able to get out and make-up the Invite on Wednesday. Both the Central A&M and Pana girls ran in the event, with Pana taking 10 with a score of 14 and A&M taking 13 with a final score of three-and-a-half points.

Pana baseball scores first, Brownstown gets the victory
PANA — The Pana Panther baseball team scored in the bottom of the first inning after holding Brownstown scoreless in the top half of the first. It was the Eagles who would bounce back though, as they scored one in the second, four in the third, and two in the fourth for their seven runs. The Panthers scored just one run in each of the third and sixth innings for their other two runs.

WINDSOR — The Pana Panthers baseball team traveled to Windsor on Friday to face the Hatchets of Windsor/Stew-Stras. The Hatchets were able to use their size and experience to their advantage as they jumped out to a six-run lead in the first before recording their second out of the inning. The Hatchets would continue to lay it on, including a grand slam in the third, to win 17-0.
