Many in the small town of Kincaid didn’t think they would be around for the 2014-2015 basketball season.

Unfortunately for the athletes, Josh Mulvaney and Dan Puccetti won’t be around next season to coach the South Fork Ponies boys basketball team.

CHRISTIAN COUNTY — As of yesterday evening, Kincaid boys basketball will now be hosted by Edinburg High School. At two separate special school board meetings, both South Fork School District and Edinburg School District unanimously voted to further their existing sports cooperative agreement.

The Edinburg Wildcats won their first game in two years on Wednesday night, beating Calvary in the first game of a doubleheader.

Edinburg beat Calvary 3-2 thanks to a three run first inning in game one.

It truly was a wild Wednesday night between the Wildcats.

A total of 25 runs were scored over nine innings on 37 hits.

Edinburg tallied 20 hits, while Mt. Olive had 17.
