Shick sees a lot of potential for Edinburg Wildcats in 17-18
EDINBURG — Ryan Shick took over as head coach of the Wildcats two years ago after being the girls’ coach for many years and also coaching at the junior high and he saw it as a new opportunity. “Transitioning from girls basketball to boys basketball was really different for me last year, but I think that I adjusted well and the guys really rallied behind me and I behind them and we really gelled.”

Wildcats end season in regional championship
PAWNEE — “I’m not upset at all about how this went,” said Edinburg volleyball coach Jill Beckham after a two-set defeat at the hands of Mt. Pulaski on Thursday in the Pawnee Regional Championship match. “These girls have come a long way since last year, and we broke our twenty-win record, so it was a very good season, and I’m very proud of these girls.”

EDINBURG — The Edinburg Wildcats appeared to be on the comeback after being down by five points in the first set, forcing extra points. Although they would end up losing the set 25-27 and ultimately the game with the second set finishing 17-25, the Wildcats never lost home as they kept pushing and fighting on the floor.
