Pawnee pounds Ponies in 'War of 104'

Two weeks without a game proved to be a problem for the South Fork Ponies on Friday night.

Pawnee came into Kincaid and ruined their homecoming in the “War of Highway 104”, handing the Ponies a 38-0 loss.

Pawnee dispatches Mohawks in two

The Pawnee Indians improved to 7-1 on the season with a two set win over Morrisonville on Tuesday night.

Led by Kiley Craigmiles, Shelby Thornton and Kelsie Allen, the Indians beat the Mohawks 25-8, 25-13.

Ponies get two weeks to prepare for Pawnee

The football game scheduled between the South Fork Ponies and the Metro-East Lutheran Knights has been called off.

The Ponies will get their first win of the year, a 1-0 decision as the Knights have decided to forfeit the game.

Everything started out great for the Morrisonville Mohawks on Monday night. 

Maddie Massie and Taylor Davidson were getting up above the net and slamming home kills.

The South Fork Ponies JV squad won their  second game of the year, an 18-6 decision over Alton Marquette on Monday night.

Ponies put up a fight against Marquette

The South Fork Ponies scored first and had the conference’s top team on the ropes Friday night.

Marquette Catholic out of Alton returned home a 27-21 winner, but South Fork head coach Tim Chapman says the Ponies may be turning a corner with the progress showed Friday night.

The varsity Mohawks won 25-20 and 29-27. Maddie Massie led the team with eight service points, Kara Brockamp followed with seven service points, two aces and Amanda O'Brien had five, and two aces. Josie Goebel had three service points and Hannah Dennision and Taylor Davidson chipped in with two each.

Pana opens with a win, Ponies roughed up

The Pana Panthers and the South Fork Ponies opened their season’s at home on Friday night and the Panthers came away with a strong conference win.

The South Fork Ponies struggled with the physicality of Hamilton and were shut out.
