Ponies get season started under new coach

Redskins rally past Mohawks for regional title

 He may be a freshman, but Nokomis pitcher Reid Detmers sure did not act like on Saturday afternoon. 

The ace threw his Redskins over the Morrisonville Mohawks in the regional championship for a 5-2 victory to advance to sectionals next week.

Wilkinson throws Mohawks to regional championship

All eyes were on Brady Wilkinson (center) on Thursday night and he came through in the clutch. Not only did he pitch seven innings and give up just one run, but he also drove in the tying run in the ninth inning for Morrisonville’s only RBI of the game. Wilkinson and Mohawks defeated Mt. Olive 2-1 to advance to the regional championship on Saturday morning against Nokomis.
