10-run 7th sinks Mohawks
The Staunton Bulldogs would come to Morrisonville on Wednesday to face off against the Mohawks. Staunton scored just one run in the second and one in the fourth and would lead 2-0 going into the final inning. The Bulldogs would score 10 runs in the seventh inning to defeat the Mohawks 12-0 in seven innings.

Mohawks start, finish strong vs. Ramsey

RAMSEY — The Morrisonville Mohawks traveled to Ramsey to face off against the Rams on a frigid Friday afternoon. 

The Mohawks were able to score 10 runs throughout the first three innings and then tack on three more in the fifth, but the Rams were able to score four in the bottom half of the fifth to extend the game out another inning. That was when Morrisonville put it to the Rams, as the Mohawks would add four more runs in the inning to win 17-4 in six innings of play.

Mohawks start, finish strong vs. Ramsey

RAMSEY — The Morrisonville Mohawks traveled to Ramsey to face off against the Rams on a frigid Friday afternoon.

MORRISONVILLE — Preparing for two teams in the same week is rough, let alone two teams in the same day. That is exactly what the Morrisonville Mohawk baseball team did on Thursday as they faced off against both the Auburn Trojans and the Mt. Olive Wildcats. The Mohawks dropped game one 19-6, but won game two 7-0.

Deal's one-hitter helps Mohawks top Wildcats in five innings
The Edinburg Wildcats and the Morrisonville Mohawks squared off on a neutral site Wednesday night at Lenz Field in Jacksonville. Many of the Wildcats had never played on turf before and the Mohawks took advantage of that early, scoring three runs in the first inning and not looking back as they would continue on to win 11-0 in five innings.

SHELBYVILLE — The Shelbyville Rams and the Morrisonville Mohawks were tied at four going into the bottom half of the sixth inning, but the Rams were able to get to Adam Deal for three runs as his pitch count crossed the 100 mark. Morrisonville couldn’t do anything in the top half of the inning and were felled 7-4.

Lady Mohawks force extras, fall 6-5
MORRISONVILLE — It looked bleak as the Morrisonville Mohawks headed into the sixth inning without recording a hit. The bats came alive in the sixth as they would not only get their first hits of the game, but also score their first runs as they took a 4-1 lead. Down but not out, Okaw Valley was able to stick around long enough in the game to walk-it off in extras, winning 6-5.

It was a chilly day in Morrisonville, but the Taylorville Tornadoes came out in full force as they scored seven in the first inning and eight in the second inning, but the Morrisonville Mohawks looked to be on the way back with five of their own in the bottom of the second.

The Morrisonville Tomahawks and the junior high Pana Panthers both fell in their sectional contests on Monday. The Tomahawks finished 14-3 as they lost 20-25, 25-13, and 19-25 while the Panthers finished 17-3 and lost 20-25 and 22-25.

MORRISONVILLE — Despite it being Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, the Tomahawk girls volleyball team was still in action as they faced off against Lincolnwood. The seventh grade Tomahawks fell in straight sets 14-25 and 11-25 and the eighth grade fought for three sets, but fell 18-25, 25-22, and 22-25.
