Raiders fall to Tuscola
The Tuscola Warriors scored in each of the five innings that they played on Monday with one run in the first, five runs in the second, six runs in the third, two runs in the fourth, and one run in the fifth while the Central A&M Raiders scored both of their runs in the fourth inning as they would fall 15-2.

MOWEAQUA — The Central A&M Softball team has won seven in a row after their 10-3 victory over Vandalia last night.

The Vandals scored first, getting a run in the top of the first; the Raiders weren’t at zero for long, as they scored five in their half of the same inning.

The Central A&M Raider softball team defeated St. Teresa as McKenna Denton was responsible for the walk-off hit on Wednesday night to remain perfect in the MSM conference thus far this season, topping the Bulldogs 11-10.

The Central A&M Raiders and the Shelbyville Rams had originally scheduled this game for Monday, but instead had to play it on Tuesday due to the weather. The Raiders were ready, though, as they walked-off to defeat the Rams 5-4.

The Shelbyville Invite was cancelled last week due to weather, but the ladies were able to get out and make-up the Invite on Wednesday. Both the Central A&M and Pana girls ran in the event, with Pana taking 10 with a score of 14 and A&M taking 13 with a final score of three-and-a-half points.

Meridian Hawks down CAM Raider baseball in extras
The Central A&M Raiders were able to get an early lead on the Meridian Hawks on Tuesday as they were leading 3-0 going into the sixth inning. That sixth saw a lot of action from both sides as Meridian scored five in the top-half to take a 5-3 lead, but the Raiders fought back for three in their half of the inning to regain the lead at 6-5.

ASSUMPTION — The Central A&M Raiders would score early in the game, but the offense was few and far between for both sides as the Ramsey Rams scored in the third, but didn’t score again. The Raiders wouldn’t regain the lead until the sixth with a run of their own, and that would be all of the scoring as they would win 2-1.

MOWEAQUA— Two County teams faced off on the softball diamond on Thursday as the Edinburg Wildcats traveled to Moweaqua to take on the Central A&M Raiders. The Raiders were riding a three-game winning streak which would extend to four as they would come-from-behind and win 7-4.

Raider girls top Warriors in Meridian for CIC title

MERIDIAN — “This is kind of the place where they can get away from it all. Basketball wasn’t really important this week…playing was just a way to kind of take a respite from that. The girls did a great job of handling both, I thought,” said Raider head coach Tom Dooley. After a week of off-court hardship, the girls turned to the court Thursday with a chance to win the CIC title.
