Raiders ride Miller to 2nd ever regional championship

ASSUMPTION — “I'm extremely happy for these kids, especially the seniors who have had some tough-luck losses the past three postseasons. This is something they can hang their hat on and remember for a long time,” said Central A&M Coach Chad Carroll after Saturday’s 5-0 regional championship win over the Decatur LSA Lions. “Any time you do something that only one other A&M team has done, it's pretty special.”

MOWEAQUA — After four years of varsity basketball, including three state finals appearances and a state championship, Central A&M Lady Raiders standout point guard, Ryan Dooley, is heading to Champaign to become a member of the Parkland Cobras. “Parkland kept in contact with me throughout the season more than any other school, and after I went and visited there I felt like it was the best place for me to be to continue my education” said Ryan. “Getting to play basketball there is just a plus. The girls on the team were amazing and it felt like home.”
