A 10-0 loss to Windsor Stew-Stras Tuesday in sectional play was certainly not how the Central A&M Lady Raiders hoped their season would end. Head coach Wayne Jordan, though, says it was a historic season for his squad with a lot to be proud of.

Raiders walk off in regional, play for title Saturday
Trailing 4-2 going into the bottom of the seventh inning, things didn’t look so great for the Central A&M Raiders chances to play against Neoga on Saturday for the regional title. The Raiders were able to manufacture three runs off of a Brooke Friesner single, an Allie Dunn double, a Rylee Dixon triple, and a Tempe Helton single for the 5-4 victory.

The Central A&M Raiders and the Meridian Hawks faced off on Monday in Assumption with the chance to meet Argenta-Oreana on Thursday. The Raiders played to their advantages and came away with the 11-1 win in six innings.

The Central A&M Raider softball team from the 2017-2018 season did something last night that no other team has done in school history. With their 9-1 victory over Shelbyville, the Raiders captured a share of the CIC title, finishing 11-3 in the conference.

The Central A&M softball team traveled an hour south to face off against non-conference opponent St. Elmo on Tuesday. The A&M Raiders took the early lead and never looked back as they would go on to defeat the St. Elmo Eagles 11-6.

The Morrisonville Mohawk softball team got out to an early lead on Monday night against the Central A&M Raiders, but the Raiders were able to use their home field advantage to cut the lead down to just one in the next inning. Both teams continued to fight and have the answers for one another, but the Mohawks had just enough to top the Raiders 8-7.

The Central A&M Raiders fell behind early as the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals scored six runs to start the game in the first inning, but the Raiders would fight back with a five-run second inning of their own. Unfortunately, that would be all of the Raiders scoring on the night; the Cardinals would get three runs in the third and 10 in the fifth to win 19-5.

The Central A&M Raiders were able to get an early lead on the Meridian Hawks on Tuesday as they were leading 3-0 going into the sixth inning. That sixth saw a lot of action from both sides as Meridian scored five in the top-half to take a 5-3 lead, but the Raiders fought back for three in their half of the inning to regain the lead at 6-5.
