Terriers win with fast start

The eighth grade Terrier boys were on the hardwood Tuesday night hosting Springfield Franklin Middle School. 

The teams started out slow as shots wouldn't fall, but still led 16-4 after one period. Brandon Odam led the first quarter charge with 7 points including a three ball and 5 from Jack Livingston.

Deep ball carries Terriers

The seventh grade terrier boys were back at it Tuesday night versus Springfield Franklin Middle School. 

The terriers were off and running early behind 9 first quarter points from Quentin Hall and led 17-7 after one  period.

Apollo announces all conference selections

The Taylorville Tornadoes football team won a share of the conference title in their first year returning to the Apollo conference with a 4-1 record. 

The Tornadoes also were well represented on the all conference teams.

Taylorville’s historic season came to an end on Saturday evening as the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones stormed through the IHSA Class 5A state quarterfinal matchup 63-14 on their way to likely another state title in two weeks.
