Let It Begin With Us

Human Kindness
My husband I moved to Taylorville six years ago, and we had the general uncertainty of those who have arrived in a place they know very little about.

Fail to Succeed
We hear conversations around us that ask us to make things in life softer and easier to handle. And there is merit to taking the time to be kind when it is possible to do so. We took my husband’s mother out to lunch on Sunday. At our table we were relishing some delicious food as well as performing the toddler shuffle. That is when several people are multi-tasking and entertaining a young child who is fully capable of hitting the ground at a quick run if anyone gives them the chance.

Human Kindness
I was sitting with a friend at a park a few years ago and I observed a father attempting to get his child to exit the playground. He worked on telling his very active son that it was time to get into their vehicle so they could go home.
