ISU to host cyber defense competition
NORMAL, Ill. (AP) — Teams of high school students will be defending computer networks against cyber-attacks as part of a competition hosted by Illinois State University on Friday.
Seven teams from central Illinois high schools will try to secure their computers and networks against hacking attacks by teams of information-security professionals.
The teams will be evaluated based on their ability to keep critical programs and services running during the planned attacks.
Three teams are from Springfield, two from Decatur, one from Bloomington and another one from Riverton.
