SPRINGFIELD – The Chicago Cubs’ World Series Trophy will be on display Wednesday afternoon at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. The following information may be helpful in your planning.
Fans who want to see the trophy can start lining up outside the museum any time they want. Some people may stay overnight or show up before dawn. However, there have not been huge numbers of early arrivals at other recent stops on the trophy tour.
Cubs fans will be admitted to the museum at 12:30. The first 500 will receive wrist bands guaranteeing they’ll be able to pose for a photo with the trophy. Additional fans will get to see the trophy as time permits. There is no charge for this event. The trophy will be on display 2:30-4 p.m. only.
