CHRISTIAN COUNTY — Yes, children DO belong. They are not the “FUTURE of the church”, they ARE the church NOW. As long as we think church is for adults, and children must first shed their innocence and childhood in order to be qualified as a church-member, then children will never belong:  “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder then, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these,” Jesus says famously in Luke 18.

The fruits of the Spirit, such as kindness and gentleness, are explained to even the youngest children and students are recognized and rewarded for demonstrating these qualities throughout their day as they interact with staff and peers.
