Days Gone By: Hoxide Cancer Sanitarium
TAYLORVILLE — Originally built as a residence in 1910 by Grover Hoover, this Taylorville landmark located at 513 West Main Cross became a hotel and a Moose Lodge before being leased to the Hoxide Institute in 1926 as a cancer sanitarium. By 1931 it was once again a hotel.
