Goal of NRA-sponsored training to protect children
PANA — Members of eight law enforcement agencies throughout Christian County and the area took part in the NRA School Shield program held at Pana High School from Feb. 4 through 8. The officers observed daily activities at the school from prior to the start of school to the end of the school day, including activities and ball games. When the officers completed their training, they were able to put together a report on the safety of students in the school. These officers will be certified to go into other schools and make assessments of the security and safety of school students in the future.Submitted Photo
