TAYLORVILLE — On the upcoming March 17 ballot, Christian County voters will be asked to consider a county-wide one-percent sales tax increase that is being dubbed a Public Safety Sales Tax.
|TAYLORVILLE — According to Christian County Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp, the Christian County jail, which has a maximum capacity of 55 inmates, is regularly housing as many as 72 inmates. In order to accommodate the extra occupants, the jail has resorted to placing mattresses on the floor of jail cells. |
