Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Shawnee Mass Transit District. For the purpose of considering a project for which financial assistance is being sought from the Illinois Department of Transportation, pursuant to its Capital Grants Program. The project is generally described as follows: A. Project Description: Shawnee Mass Transit District is looking to purchase land and build an approximate 2000 sq ft office building/depot in Union County Illinois. B. Relocation: Relocation Assistance will not be required. C. Environment: This project is being implemented to minimize environmental impacts. D. Comprehensive Planning: This project is in conformance with comprehensive transportation planning in the area. E. Elderly and Handicapped: All new facilities included in this project will be accessible to the elderly and handicapped. II. April 7, 2020 Invitation to Bid The Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois (TRS or the System) invites bids to obtain quality printing services for its Topics and Report member newsletter at a reasonable cost. The objective of this invitation to bid is to obtain competitive bids from responsible bidders in sufficient detail to permit objective evaluation of all bids, which may result in a contract to provide printing services to the Teachers' Retirement System. TRS is committed to increasing racial, ethnic, and gender diversity in all aspects of its utilization of vendors to provide goods and services to the System, to the greatest extent feasible, and within the bounds of financial and fiduciary prudence. To that end, the System strongly encourages qualified minority, female, disabled, and veteran-owned firms to submit bids to this invitation to bid. This Invitation to Bid is neither a contract nor meant to serve as a contract. A bidder's preparation or submittal of a bid or subsequent participation in presentations or contract negotiations creates no obligation on the System to award a contract or to pay any associated costs.
