REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS SHOW BUS Public Transportation NFP (SHOW BUS), as the Operator for Kankakee County, Logan County and McLean County's rural public transportation programs, is soliciting proposals for group medical benefits (health, dental and vision) for SHOW BUS employees. It is the intent to seek medical bids utilizing the GOLD metal plans. It is also the intent to seek dental and vision plans equal to the existing coverage provided by Humana (current carrier). SHOW BUS employs approximately 49 staff members. Of those, approximately 37 are full-time. All full-time employees are eligible for health benefits. All employees are eligible for our dental and vision benefit coverage plans. Employees who opt out of the major medical plan are eligible for enrollment in the Affordable Care Act, during either open enrollment or at such time as they may present an SEP. Currently, approximately 71% of eligible employees opt for the dental and vision benefits. The enrollment of eligible full-time employees participating in the group major medical plan is 78%.
