MOUNT AUBURN TOWNSHIP (CHRISTIAN COUNTY) EARLY NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROJECT TO BE LOCATED IN WETLANDS Friday, January 24, 2020 Mount Auburn Township (Christian County) PO Box 255 Mount Auburn, IL 62547 TO ALL INTERESTED AGENCIES, GROUPS, AND PERSONS: As required by Executive Orders 11988 and 11990 this is an early public notice to promote public understanding and provide opportunities for public involvement. Mount Auburn Township proposes to use funds allocated through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program (Grant #19-242011) for the following proposed project: Mount Auburn Township targeted water distribution system extensions. The project consists of construction to install approximately 35,270 lineal feet of 6 water main extensions and 13,420 lineal feet of 4 water main extensions, hydrants, meters, LMI hook-ups, LMI tap-on fees and all related costs in a target area in Mount Auburn Township (Christian County, Illinois). The review area is bound by: 2900N (north), 1100E (east), 2550N (south), 675E (west) {39.755 / -89.322} and includes 8 Mary Street, Mount Auburn, IL 62547. The total estimated construction costs of $500,000 will be funded as follows: $500,000 CDBG grant. The construction is planned to start in the Fall of 2020 and planned to be completed by Spring/Summer 2021. The wetlands affected includes (but is not limited to) the Riverine System, channels, creeks, ponds and other wetland areas that are generally located in Mount Auburn township in Christian County. Mount Auburn Township has determined that this proposed project would occur in wetland areas and Mount Auburn Township must therefore complete an eight step review. This public notice is step 2. Mount Auburn Township has additional information on this proposed project that can be reviewed weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Milano and Grunloh Engineers, 114 W Washington, Effingham, IL 62401.
