NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING There will be a Public Hearing before the Board of Appeals on Monday, August 24, 2020 starting at 7:00 P.M in the Council Chambers (Second Floor) of the Municipal Building, 115 North Main Street, Taylorville, Illinois. The purpose of the Public Hearing beginning at 7:00 P.M. is to consider the request of Bernard & Susan Hallowell to build a 24'X 24' attached garage on their property located at 523 Northwestern Avenue legally described as: Lot 6 in First Addition to Suburban Acres, said Addition being a Re-subdivision of High School Out Lots 35 and 36, Situated within the West Half of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 2 West of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat of said addition recorded February 1, 1956 in Plat Book 3 page 72 This meeting will take place at the above-designated time or at such other adjourned date as the Board may announce at said meeting. NOTICE OF INTENT TO LEVY ADDITIONAL TAX OF .02% FOR TAYLORVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Resolution No. 1452 adopted August 3, 2020, the City of Taylorville intends to levy, at the request of the Library Trustees, an additional tax of .02% on the value of all the taxable property in the City, as equalized and assessed by the Department of Revenue, for the library purchase of sites and buildings, for the construction and equipment of buildings and for the maintenance, repairs and alterations of library buildings and equipment. In addition, notice is hereby given that if a petition signed by 765 or more electors of the City of Taylorville requesting that the question of the adoption of said additional tax levy be submitted to the electors of the City and is submitted to the City Clerk within 30 days of the date of publication hereof, the question of levying an additional tax of .02% for the library purchase of sites and buildings, for the construction and equipment of buildings and for the maintenance, repairs and alterations of library buildings and equipment shall be submitted to the electors of the City at the election to be held on November 3, 2020.
