ORDINANCE NO. 19-01 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A Budget and Appropriation for the Mt. Auburn Fire Protection District, Christian County, Illinois for the General and REscue Funds for the Fiscal Year Beginning May 1, 2019 and Ending April 30, 2020. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF MT. AUBURN FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the following is an estimate of receipts, by source, of the Mt. Auburn Fire Protection District General Fund for the Fiscal Year beginning May 1, 2019 and ending April 30, 2020: GENERAL FUND ANTICIPATED REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES Cash on Hand (Estimated) $ 89,309.00 Real Estate Tax Receipts 91,492.00 Corporate Personal Property Replacement Taxes 1,000.00 Interest Income 2,000.00 TOTAL ANTICIPATED RECEIPTS AND FUNDS AVAILABLE $183,801.00 SECTION II. That the following sums of money be and they are hereby budgeted and appropriated for general corporate purposes for the Mt. Auburn Fire Protection District Rescue Fund for the Fiscal Year beginning May 1, 2019 and ending April 30, 2020: RESCUE FUND Cash on Hand (Estimated) $ 0.00 Real Estate Tax Receipts 15,500.00 TOTAL ANTICIPATED RECEIPTS AND FUNDS AVAILABLE $15,500.00 SECTION IV. That the following sums of money be and they are hereby budgeted and appropriated for rescue purposes for the Fiscal Year beginning May 1, 2019 and ending April 30, 2020: RESCUE EXPENSE Emergency and Rescue Crew Expenses $15,500.00 TOTAL BUDGET AND APPROPRIATION - RESCUE FUND $15,500.00 TOTAL ANTICIPATED FUNDS AT APRIL 30, 2020 $ 0.00 SECTION V. The Trustees shall have the power and authority during the aforesaid Fiscal Year from time to time, as in their judgment may be necessary, to make transfers among the various line item appropriations for the purpose of meeting exigencies that may arise during the year as permitted by law. To the extent permitted by applicable law, all unexpended balances of any item or items of any general appropriation made by this Ordinance may be expended in making up any deficiency in any item or items in the same general appropriation made by this Ordinance. The sums herein appropriated are appropriated from all sources of income, including but not limited to all sources of income from property taxes, and all other revenues of the Fire Protection District received from all sources of revenue. Should a deficiency exist in any fund or line item other than the General Fund for a purpose for which money may be legally appropriated and spent from the General Fund, that deficiency may be made up from the General Fund. The amount of any such deficiency in any such fund or line item other than the General Fund is hereby appropriated from the General Fund. SECTION VI. If any section, subdivision or sentence of this Ordinance is held invalid, it shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this Ordinance. SECTION VII. This Ordinance shall be known as Ordinance No. 19-01 and shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the Mt. Auburn Fire Protection District, Christian County, Illinois, within thirty (30) days of the date of its passage. The newspaper shall furnish a certificate of publication to the Secretary of the Fire Protection District, which certificate shall be placed in the official records of the Fire District and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after ten (10) days of its publication. PASSED by the Board of Trustees of the Mt. Auburn Fire Protection District this 7th day of May, 2019 and filed with the Secretary of the said Fire Protection District the same date.
