ORDINANCE NO. 20-01 An ordinance adopting a budget and appropriation for the edinburg fire protection district, christian county, illinois for the fiscal year beginning june 1, 2020 and ending may 31, 2021 Be it ordained by the board of trustees of edinburg fire protection district as follows: Section I. That the following is an estimate of receipts, by source, of the Edinburg Fire Protection District for the Fiscal Year beginning June 1, 2020 and ending May 31, 2021: Anticipated revenues and expenditures Cash on Hand (Estimated) at June 1, 2019 $ 40,189.00 Real Estate Tax Receipts 75,406.00 Total anticipated receipts and funds available $ 115,595.00 Section II. That the following sums of money be and they are hereby budgeted and appropriated for general corporate purposes for the Edinburg Fire Protection District, for the Fiscal Year beginning June 1, 2020 and ending May 31, 2021 for the following purposes: Expenses Dues, Subscriptions, Training, Vaccines $ 6,000.00 Reserve for Building & Supplies 10,000.00 Publication 600.00 Routine Repair of Equipment 6,500.00 Insurance - Building, Equipment, Liability & Workers Compensation 12,000.00 Utilities 6,000.00 Compensation for Fire Chief, 2 Assistants, Treasurer, Attorney, Volunteers & Trustees 12,000.00 Equipment Purchases & Major Repairs to Equipment 56,995.00 Postage & Miscellaneous Expense 3,000.00 Gas & Oil 2,500.00 Total Budget and Appropriation - general fund $ 115,595.00 Total anticipated funds at may 31, 2021 $ 0.00 Section III. The Trustees shall have the power and authority during the aforesaid Fiscal Year from time to time, as in their judgment may be necessary, to make transfers among the various line item appropriations for the purpose of meeting exigencies that may arise during the year as permitted by law. To the extent permitted by applicable law, all unexpended balances of any item or items of any general appropriation made by this Ordinance may be expended in making up any deficiency in any item or items in the same general appropriation made by this Ordinance. The sums herein appropriated are appropriated from all sources of income, including but not limited to all sources of income from property taxes, and all other revenues of the Fire Protection District received from all sources of revenue. Should a deficiency exist in any fund or line item other than the General Fund for a purpose for which money may be legally appropriated and spent from the General Fund, that deficiency may be made up from the General Fund. The amount of any such deficiency in any such fund or line item other than the General Fund is hereby appropriated from the General Fund. SECTION IV. If any section, subdivision or sentence of this Ordinance is held invalid, it shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this Ordinance. Section V. This Ordinance shall be known as Ordinance No. 20-01 and shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the Edinburg Fire Protection District, Christian County, Illinois, within thirty (30) days of the date of its passage. The newspaper shall furnish a certificate of publication to the Secretary of the Fire Protection District, which certificate shall be placed in the official records of the Fire District and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after ten (10) days of its publication. Passed by the Board of Trustees of the Edinburg Fire Protection District this 20th day of July, 2020 and filed with the Secretary of the said Fire Protection District the same date. NOTICE TO PUBLIC The Department of Children and Family Services has received a request to change the type of program administered by Heartland Human Care Services - Manual Saura, a child care institution run by Heartland Human Care Services. The program will now provide shelter re-entry services for up to 10 dually involved youth (youth who are in care of the state and are involved with the juvenile justice system) ages 12-17.
