Eulala Boyd Rodden passed away peacefully on March 14, 2019 in Roswell, Georgia surrounded by her family.
Eulala was born in Palmer, Illinois on February 16, 1918 to her late parents Joe and Lillian Boyd. She met and married her husband Thomas S. Rodden Sr. in 1941. She and Tom had five children. Among all of her various occupations, she helped build and grow the family John Deere business in Taylorville, Illinois. In addition, Eulala was an excellent seamstress, duplicate bridge and tennis player, and the rock and heart of her family.
Eulala was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, brother, and grandsons Thomas E. Rodden and Bradley J. Rodden.
Eulala leaves behind her sons Thomas S. Rodden Jr. (Mary Donna), Randy Rodden (Dolores), Roger Rodden (Nadine), Doug Rodden (Valerie), daughter Susan R. Yezbick (Jim), and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Eulala’s life at First Presbyterian Church,116 East Franklin Street, Taylorville, Illinois at 10am June 15, 2019.
After the internment at Glen Haven cemetery, family and guests are invited to a reception and luncheon back at the First Presbyterian Church.
