Bonnie Marie (Anthony) Adermann, 58, of Taylorville, passed away with family by her side on Sunday, April 21, 2019, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Bonnie was born in Taylorville on October 1, 1960, to Garry and Anna (Humphrey) Anthony. The family lived on various bases around the country and abroad until Garry retired from the Navy, and they returned to Taylorville.
Bonnie married Thomas Adermann in 1994, and he preceded her in death in 2003. Bonnie graduated from Lincoln Land Community College as a Registered Nurse in 1997. During her years as a nurse, Bonnie particularly enjoyed and was gifted at working in geriatrics. Bonnie most valued spending time with her family and beloved dog, Rosella “Rosie” Maria Consuelos.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed camping, reading, singing karaoke, traveling, being around the ocean, live music, and cooking. She was unique, had a great sense of humor, and was incredibly kind.
Bonnie is survived by her mother, Anna Anthony of Taylorville; brother, Michael (Tamela) Anthony of Noblesville, Ind.; son Chay Anthony and daughter Roxanna Anthony (Steve Tucker) of Taylorville, daughter Mary (DeAndre) Henderson née Reindl of Champaign; and grandchildren: Zeb, Zoe, and Zane Anthony, and Zennon McCoy of Taylorville, and Stella Henderson of Champaign, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Garry Anthony, and brother, George Anthony.
Bonnie will be cremated, at her request. The family will receive guests at Taylorville Southern Baptist Church, 1121 N. Webster St, on Saturday, April 27, from 10-11:30 a.m., with funeral service at 11:30, followed with a meal provided by the church.
