Lloyd Harry Ade, 100, of Pana, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in his home.
He was born August 13, 1918 in Pana to the late Harry E. and Emma May (Bruns) Ade.
Lloyd married Evelyn E. Garrett on December 20, 1938 in St. John’s United Church of Christ, Pana and together they had three daughters, Sheila, Sharon and Peg. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2011.
Lloyd was a farmer and had a bulldozing business. He was a lifetime member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Pana, now known as United in Faith Church. He was also a 60+ year member of the Pana Masonic Lodge and Pana Elks. Lloyd loved playing cards, fishing, bowling, golfing, camping and piloting his own plane. He enjoyed visiting with his neighbors, old and new. Lloyd always had a kind heart and a listening ear to all. He was a rock to his family, always willing to help anyone who needed him.
Lloyd is survived by his children: Sheila (Warren) Jordan and Sharon (Ray) Casner, both of Pana, Ill. and Peg (Kirk) Campbell, Oconee, Ill. He was also blessed with grandchildren: Marla (Mike) Berner, Shari (Dave) Novitski, Butch (Barbie) Niehart, Tracy (Will) Kunkel, Melinda (Tom) Harnetiaux, Jake Reed, Levi (Brandi) Reed; great-grandchildren: Craig (Sara) Berner, Matt (Kayla) Berner, Tony O’Rear, Chaney Niehart, Summer Combs, Tucker Strawn, Truman Strawn, Sidney Harnetiaux, Wil Harnetiaux, Ryan Harnetiaux, Jordyn Reed, Alivia Reed, Issabell Reed; Adalee Reed; great-great grandchildren: Cruze Berner, Aubree Berner & Cora Berner; brother, Clarence “Eli” (June) Ade, Rosamond, Ill.; and special caregivers, Donna Riley, Sherry Morgan and Irma Shuff.
He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Anna Ade, Higgins Ade, Glenn “Pete” Ade.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 in the United in Faith Church, Pana at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. in the church followed by Masonic Rites by Pana Masonic Lodge AF & AM #226. Robert Tripp will officate the service.
