Vi Hall, 85, of Hollywood Florida, formerly of Taylorville, IlL., passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 8:12 p.m. at Aventura Hospital & Medical Center, Aventura, Florida. She was born on August 24, 1934 in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas and Daisy (Shipley) Snider. She married Charles Hall on January 21, 1956 and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2016.
Vi was a real estate agent in Taylorville before she retired, and moved to Florida. While in Taylorville, Vi enjoyed Bertinetti Lake boat rides, working in her garden, playing bridge with friends. In Hollywood, Vi enjoyed swimming in the ocean, walking the Hollywood Broadwalk, dancing with Chuck at the band shell, and traveling with friends. Vi loved her family. She enjoyed loving on her granddaughters, and holding her great-grandsons. Vi especially loved going on summer vacations with her children and grandchildren. On these vacations, she could see the legacy of love instilled into her family by the loving relationship she had with her true love Chuck.
She is survived by her children: Steve (Tina) Hall of Springhill, Florida and Sandy (Rich) Hooper, Taylorville, Illinois; grandchildren: Veronica (Keith) Hathcock of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jessica (fiancée Pete Lozano) Hall Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Lexie Hooper of Taylorville, Illinois; great-grandchildren: Raylan and Wyatt Hathcock; siblings: Sue Weir, David Snider, and Daniel Snider.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Gilbert Snider, and Eugene Snider; sisters: Mamie Williams, and Esther Ruth Dale.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, on December 3 at 4:00 p.m. Memorial gifts can be given to Camp Boggy Creek (a camp for critically ill children), Destiny Missions, or First United Methodist Church.
